GLEBE GROUP PRIVACY STATEMENT

The Glebe Administration Board and its associated entities (The Glebe Group) respect your privacy. The entities comprising the Glebe Group are:

  • The Glebe Administration Board,
  • Glebe Australia Limited,
  • Glebe Investment Company Pty Limited, and
  • Glebe Asset Management Limited.

We are bound by the National Privacy Principles set out in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) (the Privacy Act).

The Glebe Group is in the business of providing financial, management and investment products and services. We usually collect personal information such as name, age, contact details, occupation, family details, financial information, bank account and tax file number details to provide a product or service to an individual but we may collect other personal information as well. We use this information to offer you new or changed products and services as they are developed, to assess and process your application for our products and services, to administer and manage any products or services we provide to you and to market our products and services to you. When we collect sensitive information (as defined in the Privacy Act) we will seek your consent to collect it, unless the law allows us to collect it without seeking your consent.

We may share your information with members of The Glebe Group or with other entities who are members of the Anglican Church Diocese of Sydney. We will handle such personal information in accordance with the standard set out in our Privacy Policy.

The Glebe Group may disclose your information to third party service providers, agents or contractors from time to time to help us to provide our services. If we do this we generally require these parties to protect your information in the same way we do.

We use a variety of physical and electronic security measures including restricting physical access to our records and offices and the use of firewalls and secure databases to keep personal information held on IT systems secure from misuse, loss or unauthorised use or disclosure.

Where appropriate we will handle personal information relying on the related bodies corporate exemption in the Privacy Act.

You have a right to access most personal information we hold about you. We may deny your request in some circumstances but if we do this we will tell you why. Please contact our Privacy Compliance Officer to ask for access to your information or if you have a complaint concerning your information privacy.
